The demand for higher and higher outputs exceeds the cooling capacity of conventional roll stacks. That is why we have developed the Multi-Touch roll stack for high-performance applications. The two main rolls of the Multi-Touch roll stack have a larger diameter for low deflection, and the following rolls are smaller to produce flat, stress-free sheet by multiple short changes of cooling sides.
Advantages:
High, constant nip pressure between rolls and sheet ensures no air is trapped, even at higher line speeds
Higher transparency and surface gloss due to optimal heat transmission and quick cooling (particularly for PP)
